EVENTS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

I march in the parades and attend the openings of new businesses as much as possible. It is important to be involved in the community.

Town Council meetings are now at 80 Boston Neck Road in the renovated Town Hall building. We are on the 2nd floor in the room that held the council meetings in 1888.

I attended the ribbon cutting ceremony of Navigate Behaviors on Ten Rod Road. The work with autistic children and others to help them navigate the world they live in. They use Applied Behavior Analysis to aid in learning life skills. It is a beautiful facility and geared to children.

The 9-11 ceremony at Town Beach was moving and a good remembrance of the people who lost their lives to save others.

The moon was out at the September Harbor Lights in Wickford! The next one is Oct 13th. There is always great food in the village

I exercised my right to vote early as I will be in Gronton, CT most of Sept. 13th. All you need is a state issued ID and go to Town Hall Mon-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm.

Matt McCoy voted in the primary election by mail. If you received a vote by mail ballot, you can mail it in at any time or drop it off at NK Town Hall.

Thank you to the RI Democratic Women's Caucus for giving me their endorsement! Katie & Matt were also endorsed.

NK Water: Best in the State!

This is the seventh time in the last 20 years that North Kingstown Water has been a winner in this contest.  Attached is a picture as N.K. Water Quality Specialist Deb Knauss along with (back row) Paul Appleton, Todd Taylor, Robin Spears, (front row) Deb Knauss, RIRWA President Jimmy Folco, Brian Garland and Matt Kwolek accepted and presented the award.  Tim Cranston was quoted as stating that “the history of North Kingstown receiving this award is attributed to the hard work and dedication of the entire Water Department Staff over the years.  North Kingstown is not only the best water in Rhode Island but is delivered to our customers at the most affordable cost in the entire state”.
